The summer is here, finally. It's been coldest April since... well, coldest that I can remember, sucks. The forecast said it's going to be 20c today, wooo! Haven't seen those numbers since last August. Well if you put minus in front of it it's not so many months ago that we had those :p Although it was pretty warm and shitty winter also...

Bonus round part 2

My trusty fine-liner dried out and I tried to smudge it around (the mouth area) to keep it alive... well, it died anyway... and later I finished the thing because why not, right?

The last new car related one. I promise :p This is few weeks old already. This idea started when I got the new summer tires for the car and went to the shop to get them and they asked if I wanted to install them without any extra costs so what the heck, right? It's sunny out here, not summer yet but we haven't seen snow in weeks... Well... One week later we went to see the old folk up north and oh boy. There was snow and ice everywhere so we would needed to change the winter tires before the trip and the summer tires back when we got back home, by myself... sounds like fun, meh.

I bought a new car. Or at least some kind of transportation vehicle for the family. A Prius+ or Prius V or Prius α... a beloved child has many names says the Finnish proverb.

We needed a car with a petrol engine (the old one was diesel) and more seats so we started to look around for the seven seaters. This is one of the smallest that we found but at the moment I'm more interested in getting everyone and not spending awful lot in petrol so this hybrid thingie was a nice plus. If I'd have the money my first choice would have been something like Volvo X90 or Land Cruiser but the new ones costs here + 100 000€ so nope... The other thing is that every "big" car in here have diesel engines. So if you are looking any even remotely "new" car around here with V8 or V6 engines, well, good luck... or be prepared to pay a lot extra for importing one here.

Moldorm

We were playing The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker with the boys some weeks ago and I had this memory flashback playing the 'Link's awakening' with my friend's gameboy. For some reason I remember fighting this maggot boss like it happened yesterday. And for some reason the Moldorm-like thing formed on this note.

Broken

The projects throw me around the office so I don't have time to sit on my desk at all nowadays, so when I saw this empty green post-it stack and a company branded blue ball pen I just had to doodle something :p

I've been away for the last 6-7 weeks. I broke my wrist in the gym and since it hurt and it was painfully slow to do anything with the computer with just one arm I took a small social media/internet vacation. It still hurts when I stretch the wrist but it's definitely better now, I was even able to go mountain biking last weekend. The pain was tolerable but it seems I need to take it slow for a while.

It's weird, the Sun is back. It's been so dark in the last four months that this feels kinda odd and disturbing that I can see outside and it's 15.54 already. Normally it's pitch black when I go to work and pitch black when I come back. The only moment you see the Sun (assuming it is not raining or snowing) is when you go to lunch. And yes, I work in a hole without any direct sunlight.

Now I'm just about to leave home and I need sunglasses, which I left home, the day is ruined ... my life is so hard! why me, why me?.. -___-

Today I went ice-skating for the first time in, well, I think it's about 17 years, since my High School equivalent what-ever-it-is-called-internationally school. Upper secondary school they said, but I have no idea does someone outside Finland even know what that means :p

Anyhow, it was fun and I didn't even fall, great success! I went with the oldest son, it was his second time ever... he fell, a lot... but it was still fun.

Dundee

Telco meeting with India, haven't seen the movie in years, but for some reason Crocodile Dundee popped into my mind. Oh those were the times. At that time I think that the whole country had something like 5-6 TV channels, some had the satellite thingies and got the additional fancy stuff from the US. We lived in the middle of the woods and had three channels + one in Swedish, yay. Old tiems <3 ^___^ So, meaning that what ever movie was the thing at the time it was shown at least once a month. Beverly Hills Cop, Monty Python, Police Academy, Der Alte (ger) and this thing are stuck in my head forever.

Fall

So, what's new? They offered me a new job. I went through several interviews, got it... and didn't take it. The whole family has been sick, it's dark and gloomy outside, umm, my oldest minion just turned four and I promised to go to a water park with him, yay.

Oh, a new phone, different  brand, and I don't have my trusty filters even though its the same app... developers these days...

This doodle man, I need to watch the Full Metal Jacket again soon.

I did my very first water coloring, ever \o/. I did this doodle to my sketchbook which turned out to be something like a random doodle merged with a Fallout Power Armor like mask. Then I thought it would be pretty cool in color. I hate coloring, mainly because I suck at it, so naturally I don't own any colorful pencils, brushes or markers.

I did a quick Google run on different options and it seems like the markers are the most popular choice so I started to search some decent ones nearby. Then quite randomly I stumbled upon this Youtube video where someone reviewed her new watercolor pencils and I was amazed what kind of results she managed to pull of with them... and now I have my very first set of watercolor pencils at home. This is going to be interesting :p

I've been beefcaking myself up lately. Lots of hiit and crossfitlike training and eating a specific diet. I feel happier, more energetic and physically stronger but man I hate the diet... especially the cooking part of it... and weighting everything and packing up multiple lunch boxes every day. I definitely could live without all the hassle. It works though,

I've also been filling my sketch book a lot lately. I bought new pens and stuff and I haven't had so much fun drawing in years. I also noticed that I need to practice... a lot... I've lost my skills, if I ever had them :p

The vacation is over, well, it was over few weeks ago to be exact. The first morning, lots of coffee, extremely tired and the first news when arriving to the office is that the company decided that 240 of us are no longer needed, okithxbai!

So, the house is still covered in mold and 4 weeks to go until the negotiations are over and maybe about week more until we know the results. 2016, you bastard!

One great thing is that I got a free personal trainer for the rest of the year due to accident prone friend... BEEFCAKE! She's been kicking my ass last few weeks and I feel great.

We are moving tomorrow, meh. My headphones, the ones at the office, broke last Friday and I have no one to approve my purchase so there's no music or calls through the computer until I'm back from the holidays. One more audioless week to go and it's four weeks of ultimate relaxation... WOOOHOOOOOO! or something :p

We finally found a temporary apartment where to live until the house is fixed or we get our money back. Let's hope it's not for years... 68 square meters for five people... don't know about you, but it's too crowded for my taste -___-  About half what we have now, oh boy :p

Two more weeks at the office and it's four weeks of vacation tiem! woooo! We have only one week at the same time so that sucks though... Then it's playschool time for the boys and the other half goes back to work. I need to figure out something to do meanwhile. I'd like to go to the summer house but I need to pick the boys up from the playschool every day and stuff, let's see.

The new Warcraft movie is here soon, yay! That got me thinking how much I love the Warcraft lore and that I should reinstall Warcraft 3... and for a brief moment I forgot that I have a family and thought about starting the WoW again. Goodbye life :p So... no.

I didn't find any spare parts for the old skates so I bought a new ones. K2 F.I.T 84 Speed ^___^. I have been skating a lot lately and I have determined that one day I'll be at least as good as Bill Stoppard. I hate starting things over from the very beginning... it's frustrating!

I don't get the Instagram... well, to be exact, I don't get the people who have an Instagram account and it's full of selfies... just selfies, some with friends... and maybe few sunsets every now and then. I just don't get it, please, someone, explain this to me. What's the point? I'm not saying its wrong or that any other of us are using it "better" but I just... maybe I'm just too old for the internets. Anyway, posting my face daily would more likely just scare people away so I can't even test it. ^__^

Oh oh, I went roller skating today. It's been almost six years since the last trip and it still felt like I was on them yesterday. Been kicking some serious kilometers with them in the past :p Here we use mostly the inline skates so is it actually "I went inline skating"?. In Finnish we don't have separate words to distinguish between the two. You need to state otherwise if you mean the "classic" quad skate model. I actually have never even seen anyone use the prehistoric quad skates.

Well, that went well. We got the results from the houses and 3/4 needs urgent repairs. Which means that we can start fighting with the previous owners and start working on the repair and cost estimate. This of course means that we need to move away to some rental apartment as soon as possible until the house is repaired and/or we can cancel the whole deal, get our money back, and move on... And as we need to pay the loan and maintenance charges we can't afford a very big rental apartment. I can imagine how fun it will be in a two-room apartment with three kids and two adults :p

However, let's end with a happier note... the whole family went to the summer house so the whole rotten place is for me alone for the rest of the week! WOOOOOO! o/
