Kiwi!

I saw this rather old animation, Kiwi!, in Youtube and I just had to do this... It's guite funny,  cute and sad(ish) story about the wingless bird pursuing his lifelong dream, flying. I'm not sure why, but I felt inspired in pursuing my own dreams even harder after seeing this. I just hope that my dreams doesn't require that level of commitment and I would live to tell someone about my achievements :p

We had a mandatory two hour "work quality" course and questionary that you need to pass in order to get a "quality" certificate... yeah, I know... It was boring let me tell you. Two hours of ranting about the different standards that our company follows and how we've received global acknowledgement for the good work that our company have done. Well, awkward, you would think that they could have solved the minor technical issues such as... you can't complete the course at all before this self-praise manifest. I had to listen the whole thing and answer the questions twice and I actually still couldn't complete the course properly and didn't receive the "certificate". Oh well.

You know what, I'm not promising anything anymore :) New note at the end of the week my ass...

Yeah, I was planning to draw a monkey hanging from a branch... and I ended up with this guy crouching in a basement. He looks a bit like me so maybe it's a self portrait, I don't know...

I find it difficult to draw any details in the outskirts of the stack of notes. Every time when I try and fail, like those fingers up there, I want to quit doing these and start using bigger canvas where I have more room and I don't need to make use of every millimeter I can find.

The whole family has been sick, now that sucks. It's Tuesday evening 22:30 and it's my first time at the computer since last Friday, yay! Thank [insert deity here] for the Netflix and 5" screen smartphones. :p

It was fun to create this one. I don't know if it actually represents anything, but it was fun and easy. And I decided to add a mini-bonus note because I've been keeping forgetting to update the blog lately ^__^.

I have one new note ready and I'll try to post it in few days, kthxbai o/

The winter came! and went away!

Been busy, forgot to post new notes...

Thanks to the crappy winter it's been surprisingly easy project to continue cycling through the winter. I bought Schwalbe Ice Spiker Pro studded winter tires so the ice isn't a problem. When it's cold the snow is easy to deal with as it's so light. It's not too slippery, and the trails and bumps don't suck the tire in...  However, the crappy winter continues and it's not even icy anymore... wet slush, now that is difficult stuff to pedal through :p The front tire just keeps searching for any solid contact with the ground. Just when you start to feel comfortable the tire climbs on top of the snow and your balance is off... And just when you think that it's going to be ok again the tire plunges through the slush moving the front part of the bike 10 cm left or right and the balance is off again. And good luck trying to steer through any tight corners.

It's still fun as hell though!

Right, a quick one. Last few minutes at the office and this is pretty much the only thing that went in my mind. It's sad that I don't have any of those here at home. Aand I think that I'm too lazy to go outside and freeze my ass off to get any. At least it's weekend again, YAY!

I'm back!

It's been a while. Happy new year to you all and stuff \o/.

"Let's see how many notes I manage to produce at home now that I'm supposed to be the housewife for the rest of the year :p" ... the answer is zero -___-

The seven week paternity leave was rough as hell. Not because I needed to take care of the kid but mostly because none of my friends are at work during the day so I was forced to be alone with my son most of the day... and it gets boring really quickly. There is a certain limit how many times "what does the dog say?" "woof woof" is amusing. :p For some vague pregnancy reasons I also needed to take care of the kid after office hours so majority of my time went with the kid... and rest of the day 20:00-> I spent with Netflix and World of Tanks :p

So, the picture, I don't like it.I forgot it to the office before the leave and I tried to continue it afterwards but I quickly ran out of ideas and interest. I like the few faces in there though.
